8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, 9 who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began. . . .

In the world today, the overwhelming practice of turning evil to good and calling it acceptance, equal rights, and compromise, in turn has alienated and chastised anyone who believes evil is still evil and stands against it. If you are a Christian and speak out, you are going against the majority “grain” and are going to be ostracised. Amazing how the goal called, Acceptance of Everybody, excludes anybody who does not agree with the status quo.

This verse reminds me to keep standing! Jesus did not save us because he had to or because we earned it…He saved us because HE WANTED TO!

In my opinion, that is reason enough to stand firm.

Have a great day all!!!
